Travel Tip #3: Don’t Rent a Motorbike Without This Permit

Before you set off on your trip, think about how you’ll get around once you arrive. Will you be pedaling a rental bike, cruising in a car, hopping on buses, gliding through subway tunnels, sailing on boats—or zipping through traffic on a motorbike? Each option has its perks, quirks, and price tag. But some are riskier than others, and motorbikes top the danger list.

If you’re set on two wheels, make sure you get an international driver’s permit from the country that issued your motorbike license. (And yes, if you only have a car license, your permit will only cover cars—no motorbikes.) On top of that, get accident insurance and double-check which side of the road you should be on before you hit the throttle.

Ride smart, stay safe, and enjoy the journey!
